Max Glazer has represented New York City touring the world DJing parties for superstars like Naomi Campbell, Puff Daddy, Missy Elliott, 50 Cent, Branford Marsalis, and Jay Z , to name just a few. Separate from the glamorous celebrity parties he was known for, Max was always cultivating his interest and love for reggae, dancehall and Caribbean music. In 1999, with partner Kenny Meez, he co-founded Federation Sound which has been focused on bringing caribbean music to an even broader audience for over 15 years. Founded in 1999 Federation Sound has been dedicated to pushing the envelope and finding new and creative ways to share their love of the music.

Federation Sound has worked with virtually all of the top names in reggae music including Sean Paul, Shaggy, Mavado, Baby Cham, rising star Chronixx and many more.  Max Glazer toured with Rihanna for 4 years as her DJ / musical director. Working with the pop superstar from the release of her breakthrough single “pon de replay”, Max put together all the music for her live shows as they traversed the globe, performing on some of the most iconic stages in the world… London’s Wembley Arena, New York’s Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall, Jamaica’s Sumfest stage, and even touched down in Africa, Thailand, Trinidad and Barbados, among many others. He has also appeared with Rihanna on numerous television shows including MTV’s TRL, VMA’s, Live with Regis & Kelly, All My Children, The Tyra Banks Show, and many many more. He has also toured with numerous reggae artists.

Max Glazer produced Vybz Kartel’s “Whine (Wine)” which was featured on VP Records Reggae Gold 2011 and Westwood – The Big Dawg Is Back (Universal UK). Federation Sound’s first official riddim release, Flatlands, featured Mr. Vegas, Mr. Lexx, Ward 21, Prince Zimboo and more. It was also followed by the ground breaking Flatlands Remix Project. In 2015 came the Highland riddim, featuring Vybz Kartel, Tifa, Marcy Chin and more. Under the name “Triple Crown”, Max shared production duties with Cipha Sounds and Disco D on the remix of Pharell and Jay-z’s “Frontin” which featured Vybz Kartel & Wayne Marshall and appeared on the Grammy nominated Def Jamaica album. Max has also worked with Brooklyn super producer Ricky Blaze on several projects, including the massive bootleg dancehall remix of Rihanna’s #1 hit single “What’s My Name” featuring original lyrics from Vybz Kartel and the Federation Sound remix of Matt & Kim’s “Tonight” off their Lightning Remixes album on Fader Label.

Max has had his hands on a number of important projects that have helped to push the music forward. In 2006, Federation Sound mixed the Serious Times compilation on XL Recordings while Max Glazer has executive produced two compilations – Dancehall Classics on Sequence/Ultra and Miss Lily’s Family Style on VP. Max also released an EP of all original music with Scion Audio/Visual called Federation Invasion – 5 The Hard Way featuring Ricky Blaze, Mr. Lexx, Tifa and more.

Federation Sound has produced ground breaking mix CDs with Vybz Kartel, Aidonia, T.O.K., Chino, Natalie Storm, Ward 21 and many more.

The Federation Sound is a brand new show launched in November of 2015 on RBMA Radio, Red Bull Music Academy’s international online radio station.

The Federation Invasion is their weekly podcast that has been bringing brand new dancehall reggae to the world for the past 9 years

Max Glazer set up and ran the now defunct radiolily.com, the online radio station that broadcast from the storefront of Miss Lily’s Variety and restaurant in NYC’s historic SoHo.
